Short Story Contest
Welcome to the Story Contest! Here are the rules (newly updated)
-Ron and Hermione MUST get together by the end
-Keep it between 100 and 2,000 words
-The Rating MUST be PG-13 or under. This needs to be a story your mother could read.
-Please use as correct grammar as possible. I don't have time to go through your entries and change 'peeple' to 'people' just so that your story is readable.
-Send the story in ENGLISH as a txt document (wordpad) or Microsoft Word Document.
- I will post the stories on fanfiction.net, and post the link to the winner and runners-up here

On his way to Gryffindor tower, Harry noticed the door to the transfiguration classroom was ajar, and a few candles were lit inside. Someone was in there, and Harry could hear them talking. He put his ear to the dusty old door and heard Ron’s familiar voice.
"We don’t have to tell anyone! Don’t you want to keep this just our little secret?"
"Oh Ron," Harry recognized Hermione’s voice. "Of course I want this to be our secret! But we can’t just keep this quite, someone will suspect something. We have to tell someone. At least Harry."
"Why do we have to tell him? I think we’ll be much better off without him knowing."
"How can you talk like that? He’s your best friend!"
"So?"
"So? Don’t you think he has the right to know?"
"Ok, ok, we’ll tell Harry. But only him!"
There was a pause, and then Hermione said:
"You’ll tell Harry then?"
"Me?! You’re the one who wanted to tell him in the first place!"
"But you’re his best friend!"
"You’re his friend too!"
"Oh Ron, all we ever do is fight!"
"No we don’t. We do other things."
Harry could just catch Hermione giggling before a spine chilling voice behind him hissed his name.
"Potter."
Harry jumped away from the door and turned around to face the worst person he could have possibly faced in this situation.
Severus Snape was standing inches from Harry, sneering down at him.
"Tut tut, wandering around the castle on your own a this time of the night. Or perhaps you are not on your own?"
Snape approached the door behind which Ron and Hermione were arguing, and kicked it open like a police officer coming to make an arrest.
When the door opened, Harry just couldn’t believe his eyes, and judging by Snape’s impression, neither could he; Ron and Hermione where sitting in the dimly lit room, kissing!
They broke the kiss and Ron looked like a tomato with bright red hair. Hermione just looked embarrassed.
Harry realized his mouth was open and closed it, just as Snape got back to his senses and started shouting.

So now that its been TWO WEEKS since the deadline with no updates or any mention of this contest...
I give up. Thank you so much for your responsibility.
I'll be posting this myself, since you obviously find yourselves incapable of making a decision.

i know what you mean. i was tired of waiting for the people here, and also i thought waiting wasnt worth it, since mine probably would be picked. i dont think ron and hermione were "together" enough for it to win.
