Ron and Hermione

Dear Mum and Dad,

Don’t worry about coming to pick me up at King’s Cross. Ron and I are going to stay at Harry’s Aunt and Uncle’s. At least till his birthday. We need to stay together, the three of us. At least if we want to defeat Voldamort. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. Maybe we will stop by later in the summer.

Hermione frowned as she read over the letter to her parents. They wouldn’t be happy when they found out that she was spending the summer away from them. Even if she did that most years, she did go home for a bit. She brushed the thought away and walked over to where Ron and Harry were playing Wizard’s Chess. And asked Ron if she could borrow Pig.

“Done writing to Vicky than?” Ron asked.

“Yes. I’m done writing. You can read the letter if you want to,” Hermione said as she held to letter out to Ron, who took it and started to read it silently. Harry leaned over to see what it said but than sat back against his chair when he saw that it was just a letter to Hermione’s parents, telling them that she wasn’t going to be coming home. He didn’t want to get in to that fight with Ron and Hermione again.

“Nice joke, Hermione.” Ron said when he was done reading and handed the letter back.

“Well, I have been hanging out with you for 6 years, your sense of humor was bound to rub off on me. So, can I borrow Pig or what?”

“Yea, come on. I’ll hold him down so you can tie the letter on.

As they walked along together, neither of them said much. When they were just outside the Owlery Hermione stared laughing.

“What is so bloody funny?” Ron said angrily.

“Your face when I said that you could read the letter and you thought it was for Victor.It was just so funny!” Hermione said between laughing and trying to breathe at the same time.

“Okay, enough making fun of Ron time, so you can stop laughing any time now.” Ron said as Hermione leaned against him trying to keep from falling over from all her laughter.

“Good luck making me stop. You looked so funny!” she managed to say before going back to laughing.

“Fine, I’ll get you to stop,” Ron had no clue what he was doing but he pushed Hermione a little ways off from him and looked her in the eyes. He put both his hand on her shoulders and leaned forward and kissed her. A few seconds later he pulled his face off hers and noticed that Hermione wasn’t laughing any more.

‘He did not just do that,’ Hermione thought to herself, touching her fingers to her lips, ‘I must be dreaming. Please don’t let me be dreaming.’ She than pinched her arm to check to see if she was dreaming. She wasn’t.

With that she stood up on her tip-toes and kissed him. She put her arms around his neck and let him pull her closer to him.

After about an hour of wondering where his two best friends hand gotten off to, Harry went off to look for them. When he turned around the corner to the Owlery he saw his two best friends leaning up against the wall full out snogging.

“Finally,” he said as he turned around and started to walk back to the Common Room thinking that Hermione’s parents weren’t going to be getting that letter any time soon.
