Sum1,
Are you sure? That would also mean no Harry/Ginny...and potentialy, no RH either...
Yep, because, J.K.Rowling talks about Ginny not ending up with Harry Potter, and Luna not ending u with Neville, and that Ron, and Hermiuone will still end up together on talk shows live in America last year.
Not a bad ship, but I prefer D/G. Although Ginny/Neville would probably be better for her.
Sum1, I've just got to ask, how does discussion of Ginny's potential relationships have ANY effect on R/H? I'm pretty certain it's not going to end up Ginny/Hermione, so I don't understand the connection. Or are you just troublemaking? ;)

Ron makes it his business to know who Ginny is and isn't with...he may get so engrossed in the role of big brother, that he may not even notice Hermione...
And I'm sorry about the troublemaking comment. It is totally out of your character to say something contraversial for the sake of an argument. I don't know where I get these ideas...
And if you're seriously suggesting that Ron might get so obsessed with preventing his little sister going out with a nice, gentle, pureblooded, respectful boy that he forgets all about girls, then either he or you have something very wrong with them. No big brother should get so involved with thir little sister's love life that they forget to have one of their own.
Did I miss you? Honestly, yeah...the lack of a good argument can become quite annoying...how about you? :p
Ron practically has a fit every time Ginny goes out with someone new...that's one of the things that makes him sour and upset for extended periods of time, and during those spells, he's always snappy and impatient with Hermione, or ignores her completely...unless he gets over that, RH is pure fantasy...or a hallucination, whichever one you like better :)
Aww, I feel loved. If I'm honest, the lack of a decent argument's been making me search for them elsewhere. Half the guys at college won't go near me at the moment, I've been snapping so much. They're such weak asses though, they don't yell back! Although that may have been internet deprivation. Or possibly the fact they're jackasses.
And, since it's a choice, I'd prefer fantasy. Much like the rest of the Harry Potter world... ;)
There are other reasons Ron and Hermione fight, but it's nice that they're so close. You always upset the people who love you, because they're the ones who'll forgive you. And he's only done that when he dissapproved of. He was perfectly happy when she was with Harry, and ever so slightly preoccupied being sensationally jealous of Hermione and Krum when she went to the ball with Neville. I think he's got it pretty much over it. Bring on the fantasy. :D
You've been snapping so much...whoo, big surprise there...:p Something seems to be always eating away at you...
But fact is, as stupid as guys may be as a species, they're not dumb enough to enter an argument with a woman...we'd rather face a pissed off Hungarian horntail than an angry woman any day...
But Ron...I don't think he's shown malice towards Neville...why wouldn't N/G work? We all know Neville is the boring, predictable type...he's not gonna do things to Ginny out of his own will, but if she convinces him...well, let's not go there.
Ron and Hermione are close, only because she has extraordinary patience...but if it's tested too much, as it already is, then I expect a good long argument that'll even put their friendship on the rocks...
A good argument would put their friendship on the rocks? Did you not READ book four? And lo and behold, here they are, years later, still friends after the biggest row since time began. I think it's there for keeps. And as for the female species-you flatter us, to believe we'd put up with someone just because we're patient. We wouldn't. There has to be something else keeping us there, like pent-up lust, for example ;-)
And no, Ron didn't show any malice towards Neville. He trusts him, apparently. But Ginny and Neville didn't start anything up after the Yule Ball, so I think it's pretty much a lost cause. Besides, Ginny's got her eye on someone else. Who did she date throughout the last book, for crying out loud?
And so what if I snap? It's not all the time. Just most of it. :P
And I don't think guys are dumb. Often foolish, sometimes stupid, but not necessarily dumb. You've proved that at least, arguing for ages on an unwinnable subject ;-)
Lust, as powerful as it may be, is short lived...it disappears rather quickly, and perhaps desire would be a better word...though what Hermione desires from Ron I don't understand, and neither does she...his mood is unpredictable, he gets upset basically over nothing, treats her like dirt the majority of time....oh yeah, that's the stuff of romance, no doubt...
Throughout the last book, she dated Dean Thomas...H/G lasted for two weeks...that's not exactly what I'd call serious...it's otherwise known as lust ;)
Eh, ok...'s long as you think it's alright, feel free to snap as much as you like :) But remember to smile once in a while ;)
Well, you wouldn't understand female lust, obviously ;-)
I can clear that one up. Tall, athletic, and above all off-limits guy. We ALWAYS want what we can't or at least shouldn't have. Besides, being protective of us, like Ron is, is ridiculously cute. We like it, even if we won't admit it.
Maybe she doesn't understand why she likes him. We often don't. We just do, and that's enough. And he may be unpredictable, but he's passionate. And lust is short lived?! Where did that come from? Besides, I'm not arguing she's in lust, though I believe she is, I'm arguing she's in love. And as for treating her like dirt, he simply doesn't. At least not worse than can be expected for someone utterly jealous and in love :-D (all together now: awwwww!)
Ginny has been after Harry since book 1. You call that short term?
And I do smile. Often just after I've snapped. No, seriously, I'm actually quite a cheerful person. I just like a good argument to vent. It never really is anything vicious. I just love debating.
wow...I'm just going to say that I agree :) I get the part that you want something you can't have, but what you shouldn't have is different....care to supply an example?
And which one does Hermione fall under?
How can ron not work up the courage, for seven! (7) SEVEN! years not to ask Hermione out...in canon, they still aren't officially together...guys usually will ask a girl out, even after some deliberation, but it will not take them 7 years to do it, guaranteed, by making fun of her incessantly, and upsetting her on purpose...what now, is Ron deciding to omit all the dating junk and propose to her? In that case, I'd understand...
Debates are good, yeah...venting too, but in the end, a smile can fix up your mood entirely :) Cheers!
Sure, an example-every good girl who's ever lived and the bad boy. It's a terrible fascination, and we know we shouldn't...but we can't help it. But Hermione's lucky, she falls under what she feels she shouldn't have (because he doesn't feel the same way, or so she thinks), but it's just an illusion. She thinks she can't have him, but if she just redirected that boiling passion just once, she'd find out how wrong she was ;-)
Ron can't work up the courage for just the same reason. Plus he has famously low self-esteem, so he probably doesn't think he deserves her. And are you being sarcastic with the whole upsetting Hermione thing? When a boy liked a girl in the playground, he's knock her over to get her attention. He's matured after the Lavender thing, and SHE asked HIM out. Stop being such a Neanderthal, we are allowed to ask guys out too, you know!
And I am smiling. Your arguments always make me laugh! :p
Of course you can...it's just that most guys are under the pressure to make the first move...including myself :) everyone likes to have the choice of having to say yes or no...
I guess Hermione is braver than Ron in the amorous department...but she WAS going to ask him...technically, she didn't ;)
I wasn't being sarcastic about Ron upsetting Hermione...I get what you're saying with the playground analogy, but Ron didn't show he was interested...he was stone cold and nonreactive....like a noble gas. You can poke it, freeze it, kick it, punch it, explode it, and it's still not gonna do anything...HBP per se....
So I make you laugh...that doesn't mean you take me seriously, does it? :p
Not a bad ship
Not a bad ship actually...it might happen, who knows? ;)

I think that it will happen because, did you see Neville's reaction he made on his face, while talking to Harry, after dancing with Ginny.
Sure did...honestly, I
