They're not a cute couple! They'd be such a scandal, and that's their charm. The Weasleys, and Ron in particular, would be angry and disbelieving, Lucius Malfoy would be furious. It'd send everyone crazy, that's why they'd be brilliant. Plus it's actually plausable. Harry's dumped Ginny with, what I must say is a really crap excuse, so it'd be natural for any girl to try and hurt him by dating his enemy. Malfoy'd just want to have something over Harry and Ron, and she's pureblooded so it's not impossible.
And everyone knows Ginny's had something of an experience with the dark side already. After all, she got obsessed with Tom Riddle in first year, didn't she? Perhaps she's not the sugar and sweetness she's supposed to be.
I know it's not going to happen, but it would be good, if just for Ron's reaction.

And so what if I want D/G to happen? I don't really care about Harry. I'm not a H/G shipper. I just want a cool pairing that has no bearing on my ship whatsoever to happen. I have no feet anywhere NEAR the Dark Side! They are firmly plated on the deck of the Good Ship, thank you! :p
And that's no logic. So what if Harry would be free? Ron would still kick his arse.

Think about it...she doesn't care about anyone's opinion of her, as strange as she may be...thus, her reactions to Ron's imbalance are going to be calm and collected, and this would be the method by which Ron becomes a bit less temperamental...it can work, even if there isn't a lot of evidence for it, but the much that exists, certainly hints it... :)

 

Well I was just saying...D/G is a ship of mine too, and in the dark side in general...but if your ship flipped upside down, would you fall off the deck, or are you going to nail yourself to it? :p

JK SAID that wasn't happening! Are you insane? He barely knows her! And she doesn't like him! He's mean to her! Not like with Hermione, who he just teases gently except when he's in a jealous fit, then she matches him, rather than just staring about dreamily until he's done. She'd be terrible with him!
H e doesn't need someone calm, he needs a girl who can match or beat him in the argument stakes...like Hermione, for example :p
And Hermione needs someone as passionate as Ron to drag her out of her shell. Harry wouldn't do that. She needs someone who's full of life, bubbling all the time, to bring out her full potential, just like he needs someone who'd kick him up the arse to get him to reach his full potential. Luna would just let him drift and feel sorry for himself.
And no, D/G isn't on the Dark Side. It's OOC, admittedly, but not so sick as H/Hr. I'd never stoop THAT low. And if, in the utterly impossible chance that my ship sunk (not gonna happen, but anyway) I'd be clinging to the wreckage (much like you are now, adrift in an OOC sea...), my feet nailed to the largest plank of wood I could find, handcuffed to the mast. I'm in this for keeps :-P

No, I'm perfectly sane...stop and consider it carefully...

I'll offer you the little evidence there is...when Ron imitated Goyle (or Crabbe?!) in OotP, Luna laughed the loudest...thus she found him funniest. At the end of HBP, Ron says Lina grew on him in a "good way". Lavender was then asking "Why was she with him?" But who's she? Luna or Hermione? It's not clear...

R/L would make Ron see that reacting angrily is not based on anything and would help him control his emotions. To think, before he says something stupid...and he would help Luna become a bit more animated and involved than she now is...see where I'm going with this?
